In the northwestern part of the Canary Islands archipelago lies the island of La Palma, known for its lush forests and its natural beauty, which have led to it being named a World Biosphere Reserve.
Although volcanic in origin, the island stands out for its green landscape, the abundance of water, and peaks rising to over 2,000 metres, such as La Caldera de Taburiente, Cumbre Nueva and Cumbre Vieja.
